Sue Reilly Photography, well-known for its natural, timeless and very affordable wedding photography, had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful wedding at the magnificent Holy Trinity Church in Fortitude Valley.
The day started with a relaxed drive out to the Samford Valley where the bride was getting ready for her ceremony in the city. The house was situated in a beautiful, quiet spot surrounded by green hills and trees. It was a perfect day with blue skies and fluffy clouds. The bridal party’s hair and make-up was handled by the creative team of Omfiora. The bride’s flowers were supplied the One Stop Wedding Shop. The bride’s absolutely stunning dress was supplied by A Formal Affair.
Following bride prep, we travelled on to the Holy Trinity church where we met up with the groom. The religious ceremony was was magnificently framed by the high stained glass windows, luminous stonework, rich wood-work and inspiring ornamentation.
After the ceremony, we headed to a nearby park on the river for late afternoon location photos, before travelling to the Arana Hills League club for the reception.
The entry to the Arana Leagues Club is via a gorgeous red-carpeted stairway, which we were able to use for photos. The buffet meal was delicious with an excellent variety of salads and mains. The reception entertainment was ably fielded by All Event DJs, who also supplied the very popular photobooth. The reception covered the main formal events of speeches, cake-cutting and a beautiful bridal waltz. The cake was supplied by Two Chefs and a Cupcake. The formal activities concluded with the ever popular “shoe game”.
The ceremony was an Anglican service. To see a Catholic Nuptial mass, check out this blog entry, or for a delightful and intimate chapel ceremony, check out this blog entry.
