In selecting the pictures for this blog, I have tried to show the tremendous vitality, wow factor and joie de vivre Jo and Mark’s wedding emanated. But you do still have to read between the lines a bit to capture the extraordinary aliveness of this couple and their wedding.
Both Jo and Mark were adamant that their top priority for their wedding was for everyone to have fun. But in the stress of wedding timelines, this commitment to full-on bonhomie, can easily get eroded. Not for this couple! Their wedding was full-on and a total blast from start to finish.
The photography started with some pre-wedding photos at the old Dental Hospital opposite the Queensland Registry. From there, we went across the road to the Brisbane Registry Office, with its beautiful full-length windows and city views for the ceremony.
Following the wedding, we took couple and wedding party photos at Captain Burke park.
Then it was on to the iconic Story Bridge Hotel for a cocktail style reception, launched with a bubble gun extravaganza entrance by the couple. The afternoon progressed with champagne, speeches and cut-cutting. And the obligatory group photo on the veranda of the Story Bridge Hotel. The fabulous cake featured in their reception was supplied by Cakes by Rachael.
Jo’s hair and make-up were supplied by Studio Ash Hair, and her dress was from Brides of Brisbane.
