Lucinda and Allan married on a perfect Winter’s day at the Surfair, Marcoola. It was the beach wedding every coastal bride dreams about – brilliant, blue skies; a perfect harmony of colours (greens, pinks, blues and grey); and a clear, and sun-drenched sunset. (Well, perfect that is, except for the 24 hour stomach bug that swept through the wedding party in the lead-up to the wedding…but no-one would have known unless they were told. Everyone was so up-beat and on top of everything).
Both Lucinda and Allan got ready at the Ramada (Surfair) Marcoola. The bride had the penthouse suite which provided for some beautiful photos on the elegant spiral staircase. The bride was stunning and her bridal party a fabulous complement in soft pinks. The couple’s daughters were flower-girls. The bride’s hair was by Backstage Beauty (Samantha Simpson), her make up by Erin Fedele Beauty and Makeup Artistry. Lucinda’s amazing dress was supplied by Forever Bridal. While the bride’s fabulous bouquet was provided by Vintage Inspirations Props and Floral Designs, Lucinda made the remainder of the florals herself (from the wedding arbour through to the flower girl baskets).
The ceremony was in the grounds of the Surfair. The service was conducted by Rod Holt.
Following the ceremony, we headed off for wedding party photos in near-by locations, including Mt Coolum. We arrived at the beach just in time to catch a fabulous sunset, a riot of crimson colours.
The reception was held at the Surfair where we had the traditional cake-cutting, bridal waltz and father-daughter dance. The cake was supplied by Pretty Petals Cake Creations (Janette Gilbert) with Andrew Pizzino from Wooden Bow Tie as the DJ.
For another Marcoola wedding, this one featuring more of the beach in the couple’s photos, please check out this wedding.
