Victoria and Joe had married the previous year in a small intimate ceremony, but then decided that they really wanted to have a bigger ceremony so they could invite family and friends to share in their joy with them.
So, on a beautiful Autumn day the couple renewed their wedding vows on the Raby Bay foreshore. There were several beautiful moments throughout the ceremony – their emotional exchange of personal vows, the presentation of the rings by the cutest pair of flower-girls, with the best moment of all being the gender reveal. The lovely couple were expecting their first child, and while everyone knew about the baby, no-one knew the gender. Victoria and Joe kept it a surprise until after the Registry signing, when everyone in the front row released the tubes filled with…blue…confetti. The reveal went off with a bang, blue confetti floating up into the sky to everyone’s cheers.
Following the gender reveal, we had a few location photos on the beach, despite the intermittent showers! From Raby Bay, we headed off to the Grand View Hotel for the couple’s reception – even managing a few more location photos near this iconic venue. The Grand View Hotel is Queensland’s oldest licensed hotel and an historical gem. Following the cake-cutting (which had a fabulous design), bridal waltz and father-daughter dance, we headed off, leaving the couple to enjoy the rest of the evening with their family and friends. Other bayside weddings can be found here and here.
The wedding was photographed by Sue Reilly Photography. More examples of my work can be found at this website and on Facebook.
