Sue Reilly Photography, characterised by beautiful, natural and modern wedding images, photographed Tara and Paul’s wedding. The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Obi Obi Hall in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
In a match made for Instagram, the married couple’s surname was Best. So, of course, this resulted in the hashtag, “The Best Wedding”. And it certainly was! It was a day of sunshine and roses.
The bride’s theme was rustic glamour using a colour scheme of rose-gold and gold, lace and hessian. The bridesmaids really epitomised the rustic glamour theme with beautiful, sequined rose-gold dresses, picking up the colours in the bride’s bouquet. The same colours were used to decorate the ceremony arch with roses and the inside of the reception hall.
The bride also wanted the wedding, and the photography, to reflect a casual and relaxed mood, natural, fun and full of light. With the wedding party chosen for this wedding, it would be next to impossible for the wedding to be anything other than her prescription. The bridal couple and wedding party wholeheartedly through themselves into every activity.
The bride got ready in a private home in Mapleton, overlooking the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains. From there, the bridal party drove to the Obi Obi Hall where the groom’s party were waiting.
The outdoor setting for the ceremony was stunning. A beautiful century-old Hall surrounded by green hills and mountains. It was a beautiful sunny day, with just enough cloud cover to prevent the day being too hot. The ceremony was laughter-filled and framed by the masses of beautiful roses decorating the ceremony arch and matched by the bridal party’s bouquets.
We know the area well and we took location photos at the nearby Obi Obi Creek and a few local spots.
Following the location photos, it was time to head in for the reception. The Hall was brilliantly decorated with lots of DIY touches and the evening proceeded with the same light-hearted enjoyment that had characterised the day.
I love to photograph country weddings and would be delighted to photograph yours! Another country wedding I have photographed can be found here.
